Majority of American’s Cheering as Speaker Paul Ryan Steps Up to Fund The US Border Wall

Even as Mexico says it will refuse to pay for a border wall, House Speaker Paul Ryan told reporters the U.S. government will fund it within months.

Ryan says ‘we are going to finance’ the $15 billion wall that Mexico is refusing to pay for – but he’ll defer to Trump about whether to stick the tab on the nation’s debt. Republican members of Congress have gathered in Philadelphia for their annual retreat.

House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate leader Mitch McConnell addressed reporters in advance of President Trump’s visit. Ryan said the Congress will fund construction of the wall, which he also called a ‘fence’ he pegged the cost at $12 billion to $15 billion.
