Istanbul Attacker Arrives in Raqqa Syria

Local sources in Raqqa said that the man who killed 39 people on the even of the New Year in Istanbul has fled to the Syrian city, Arab media reported.

Al-Ray al-Youm quoted the sources as saying that the ISIL/ISIS militants celebrated arrival of the suspected perpetrator of the deadly terrorist attack at Istanbul’s Reina nightclub by air shooting.

Also, Syria’s SANA news agency reported that the terrorist was trained during the street wars in Syrian residential areas and has used the same tactics, adding that the ISIL/ISIS has chosen an expert for the Istanbul attack.

The ISIL/ISIS on Monday claimed responsibility for the mass shooting in a packed Istanbul nightclub.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said in a televised interview on Wednesday that the identity of Istanbul nightclub attacker has been established.

The manhunt is still underway, Cavusoglu said, as the gunman remains at large.

On Tuesday, Turkish state media revealed a video of the suspected perpetrator of the deadly terrorist attack at Istanbul’s Reina nightclub.
